HP Chromebook 14 (Snow White) Review
Pros
- Build Quality: The device feels solid.
- Display: The screen is bright and crisp.
- Programs: Malware, spyware, adware-free. I am now using my Chromebook to open suspicious emails or click on dubious URLs that I don't dare touch from a laptop.
- Keyboard: It is excellent and the keys have a nice rubbery texture feel.
- Ports: It comes with USB 3.0 ports vs HP 11's USB 2.0.
- Battery life: It lasts 9 hours of time without a break on a single charge.
Cons
- Software: You are limited on what types of files you can open, and you can't put any programs on it. You must use the Google equivalents instead, for example Google Hangouts instead of Skype, Google Docs instead of Word.
- Size and Weight: HP 14 is a lot heavier so if you travel and size and weight matters then HP 11 is the right choice.
Summary
HP Chromebook 14 (Snow White) is great for anyone who uses a computer primarily for web based work. Chromebooks can't do everything, Chromebooks are not for everyone and they are not a universal computing device.
But if you understand what a Chromebook is, and if you regularly use anything other than a web browser and word processing, I would highly recommend this one.
